Vacuums – My vacuum stops or does not start

Issue

  • My vacuum won’t turn on.
  • My vacuum stopped working.
  • My vacuum shows it’s on but won’t actually work.
  • It seems like my vacuum sucked water and doesn’t work anymore.

Solution

There are several possible reasons your vacuum may not be operating as expected, and most of them are simple to check. A low battery is one of the most common causes. If the last LED is blinking, place the vacuum in its charging stand and confirm that the stand is plugged in.

Another possibility is an obstruction in the brush roll, nozzle, or hose, which can cause the unit to overheat. Look for any hair, threads, or fibers around the brush roll and remove them. Then check all hoses and tubes for blockages and clear anything you find. For full cleaning directions, refer to your Use & Care manual. If the vacuum has overheated, allow it to cool for at least two hours on the charging stand before using it again.

If any water or liquid has been pulled into the vacuum, stop using the unit and allow it to dry for at least 48 hours. Keep it off the charging stand while it dries. (Please note that damage from liquid intake is not covered under warranty.)

If you’re still experiencing the issue and your vacuum is within the first 30 days of purchase, please contact your retailer. If it has been more than 30 days, we’re here to help—reach out to us to schedule service.
