To determine next steps, determine where the water is leaking from.

Water leaking from the inlet water hose

  • Check for kinks or holes in hoses.
  • Check all hose connections.
  • Replace washer hoses.

If leaking is found

  1. Turn off water. Wipe up excess water.
  2. Disconnect connection. Inspect the "O"-ring gasket to make sure it is visible and undamaged.
  3. If "O"-ring is damaged or missing, replace it.
  4. Inspect the blue and/or red connector on the unit for cracks and breaks.
  5. Reconnect. Hand tighten and then use a wrench to tighten and additional 1/2 turn.
  6. If cracked or broken, schedule service. Cracks or breaks are normally caused by over tightening.

Water leaking from the drain hose

  • Ensure the drain hose is secured to the drainpipe with a cable/zip tie (usually included in installation pack), bracket etc.
Note: If not securely fastened this may cause the drain hose to become loose and allow water to miss the drain.
  • Check home drain or standpipe for clogs. Pour a gallon of water down the drainpipe, if water comes back up, drain is clogged. Contact a plumber for assistance.
Note: Inspect hose for any damage or leaks. If damaged or leaking, schedule service.

Water leaking from the door

  • Clean rubber door seal, glass to remove hair, dirt, lint, clothes, etc.
  • If clean, schedule service.

Water leaking from the Adaptive Dispenser

  • Ensure drawer is installed correctly using guide rails and closed completely, should be flushed with unit.
  • Ensure dispenser compartments are fully seated and flushed.
  • Make sure the unit level.
  • The water pressure may be too high. Reduce the water pressure by turning the water faucet to 50%.
  • If the dispenser drawer has any kind of buildup, it may cause it to leak.
Note: Refer to the user manual for detailed guidance on cleaning the dispenser drawer.

Are the fill-hose connections loose or cross-threaded at the faucet or washer?

  • Check by realigning the threads, make sure that the rubber sealing washers are in good shape and seated properly, and tighten the hose connections.
  • If the connections are loose, the appliance may need to be reinstalled or replace the rubber sealing washers.
